V-Day Style: Pretty Little Underthings (4th Edition)
Hellooooo, my loves! Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s been a few, but I couldn’t let the day pass without publishing a crowd favorite — our annual V-day post! I always look forward to this post because I get to discover new brands and learn a little more about my friends each year. On a personal note, it’s fun to see how repeat contributor’s submissions evolve over time. But only I know who those people are 😉
I noticed a few new trends this year. This iteration is a little less casual, and there are also multiple items in the…experiential category. As always, I want to hear what you’re up to today (or tonight!), and if you found any new faves.

Personal style: Trying to write the masterclass in passing athlesiure bottoms as work pants
Why I love this item: I bought this for ‘Sexy Christmas’ a la Ted Lasso. My boyfriend’s reaction? ‘Oh dip.’ As someone who doesn’t lean to the sultry side, I like to make my big moves count!
Relationship status: Dating for 1.5 years; currently in the ‘i’m not moving into your house until you clean out your garage’ phase
Valentine’s Day plans: Playing a round of mini golf! Our fancy dinner reservation got cancelled after a leak at the restaurant, so we’ve pivoted!
Fave love song: Ok, hear me out: “Trap Queen.” He’s like, “damn girl, you’re fine. You’re so good at your job, I want to get you involved with my business.” This is trust! More traditionally, I think Van Morrison’s “Have I Told You Lately” is basically perfection.

Why I love these items: Just got these babies in the mail & they make me feel so sexy and confident (& put together)! The satin feels so good on my skin & the cuts are classic and flattering. (Perfect under any date-night outfit.)

Valentine’s Day plans: My Valentine’s Day plans are a soundbath meditation & cacao ceremony. And all the roses & chocolate (cue Miley).

Personal style: Bright, happy, embellished. (And at 35 weeks pregnant- whatever fits )
Why I love this item: As I approach motherhood, I know elevated athleisure may be my described style for a while (which I am very much looking forward to) and nothing says “cool mom” more than flashy kicks. I’ve been a sneaker lover since middle school and don’t see that changing anytime soon. Some girls like handbags, some like jewelry, me? The way to my heart is through my feet (in the least OnlyFans way possible- ha ha ha ha!)

Valentine’s Day plans: We’re going to see Adam Sandler at Bridgestone. (Giggles are the other way to my heart)

Relationship status: Suburban housewife married for a century, raising a herd of children.
Valentine’s Day plans: I made these really adorable crafts for my kids - they look like giant pieces of candy and inside they’re filled with their favorite sweets. Excited for that! And otherwise - it’s really just another day on our end.
Fave love song: Okay hear me out. My favorite love song is definitely written for the broken hearted. But it’s so sweet, written from this very positive place and I think it’s beautiful and lovely. “I miss you” by Kacey Musgraves … listen till the very end, she ties it all together with a lyrical bow.

Why I love these items: It’s ultra-girly, frilly and romantic, a frosted Valentine cupcake dream. So fun and flirty, and the ruffled garter is the boozy delicious cherry on top!
Relationship status: My beautiful girl and I have been together for 6 years. We have 3 kitties who are the loves of our lives.
Valentine’s Day plans: We LOVE Valentine’s Day! We always make this day super special and lots of fun! We’ll wake up to flowers, chocolates, surprises and heart-shaped balloons. We’ll have an early dinner at a fancy restaurant with good cocktails, then will come home for a cozy night in with our fur angels. I love to watch the movie Valentine’s Day every year because it’s so cute and it so perfectly captures the magic (and chaos) of V-Day.
Fave love song: When my partner and I first met, she made me a mix tape of her favorite songs and “I Dare You” by The XX was on it. I listened to that song on repeat for months. It was the soundtrack to falling in love with her. I still get emotional when I hear it.
Tickets to an NBA game ($$$!)

Personal style: Part trendy, part timeless. I like things I can feel cozy and confident in. If it is uncomfortable I want nothing to do with it!

Valentine’s Day plans: We went to the Denver Nuggets game to celebrate Valentines early as a cute date night out on the town. Tonight we’re having a home cooked dinner with a nice bottle of wine.

Why I love this item: I love the Barbie pink, and I think you could dress it up or throw it on with mom jeans and some sneakers and look super cute. Or wear it for other activities. Seriously, if I get one more damn ad for this bodysuit, I will just…break down and buy it in 3 colors.
