Where are you from?
I was born in Augusta, Georgia and lived there until I was 19. I moved to Atlanta for a year and then moved to Nashville. I’ve been here ever since!
What do you do?
I’m a consultant for a haircare distributor that’s focused on sustainable beauty. I travel between two states and spread the gospel of good hair (can I get an amen?).
What’s something someone may not know about you?
I did an internship program in New York and worked on “The Tyra Banks Show” in college. It was probably the most fun I’ve ever had.
I can’t pick one! “Stepbrothers” and “You’ve Got Mail”
What is your life mantra?
“Progress over perfection.” It’s a daily struggle, but I’m trying!
What are you known for?
My love for puppies! Also, being the first one out on the dance floor.
What are you good at?
I think I’m a really good hype man. My friends and coworkers know that if they’re going through a rough patch or having a weird day, they can call me to pump them up.
What’s the most useless talent you have?
There are a lot, but I pretty much always win at least one of the games people play at baby showers or bridal showers. I’m also really good at guessing how many of something is in a jar, and when those paths intersect, oh man!
What’s your karaoke song?
“Man! I Feel Like a Woman” by Shania Twain
What’s something you’re obsessed with right now?
Crystals! I pretty much always have selenite with me.
What is your biggest irrational fear?
That something is going to claw my eyes out. I realize that sounds insane, but we have a history of wonky eyes in our family, and I am very careful to protect my peepers!
Biggest rational fear?
Not being liked. I know that everyone won’t like me, and that’s okay, but I sometimes worry the people that I thought liked me actually don’t. Anyways, aren’t you supposed to be less insecure in your 30s?
What’s your superpower?
I’m weirdly intuitive, but I don’t really talk about it. Not trying to spill all of my secrets!
What’s a bad habit you have
Comparing myself to other people, UGH.
What does your inner voice tell you?
What do you want people to think about you?
That I’m fun :)
What is your pet peeve?
I hate repeating myself. Like, haaaAAATe.
What’s the weirdest thing about you?
How much time do you have? HA!
I talk to myself a lot. But I think it’s because talking is the main role of my job, and so I talk through things to make sure I don’t sound like a dork (but kind of inevitably do anyways?).
Favorite time of year?
The two weeks of fall before Daylight Savings Time ends is pure magic. But I also love the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas!
What’s Some good advice you were given recently?
“Feeling weird is a good sign...it means growth.”
