8 Wear-with-Anything Sneakers You Probably Can't Live Without

A few years ago, it became really trendy to wear sneakers with just about everything. I’ll be honest, I wore the white sneakers and sundress combo OUT a few summers back. And you know what? I look upon that time fondly.

As I’m sneaker-bound for the foreseeable future thanks to the ski trip that must not be named 🤬 AND one of my BFFs is going on a European holiday and looking for a new pair, I thought I’d do a roundup of staple, wear-with-anything sneakers in case you’re looking for some fresh kicks, too! Some of these are already hanging out in my closet, some of these are still waiting on me to pull the trigger, and all of them have my undying affection.

If you have a go-to pair I didn’t include, let me know in the comments so I can check them out!

Kinetic Impact Lace Sneaker by Sorel - $105

An interior designer I follow posted about these forever ago, and several months later I’ve still not been able to get them out of my head! I love the clean, modern design, the split neon sole, the neutral material next to the neon, the fact that you tie the laces UNDER the shoe. These are just so cool! I didn’t even know Sorel made sneakers. I thought they mainly offered fancy snow boots like the kind people wear on ski trips where they might have a near-death experience (I swear I’m not talking about this again). My stylist has some of their sandals and says they’re super comfortable. And they’re currently 25% off, so I’m thinking we should probably all just get them, right?

Cloudflyer by On $159.99

I know this brand is super trendy right now, but this is an honest review: I own this style in red, and I LOVE them. I started a part time job where I’m on my feet for 8-9 hours a day, and I didn’t know if that was something I would be physically capable of doing at this point. Honestly, it still surprises me every shift lol. My physical therapist recommended I hit up Fleet Feet to get fitted, and if you’ve never been there, I highly recommend it. I thought FF was a store for serious athletes — which I clearly am not — but they scan and analyze your feet, the way you walk, what you’ll be using the shoes for, and all of that and a million little details help them fit you with the perfect shoe. I actually tried on a different style from this brand and I didn’t like it at all, but these are incredible. They’re supportive without being too cushion-y. They have a slight curve to the sole to help propel you forward, but I don’t feel like I’m about to fall and bust my face. I am obsessed with these shoes, which is why I’m trying to get them in a more neutral color palette. I went up a half size from my usual because that’s what fit me best. And I think that’s specific to this shoe because I didn’t size up in the other style. I will say, I know these are a little pricey, but I just bought some $70 sneakers from Nordstrom Rack before buying these that I immediately regretted because there’s literally no comparison. I walked 5 miles (can you believe???) in these about a month ago at the Music City Grand Prix, and I swear to you, I do not have a single pair of shoes in my closet I could do that in right now besides these. They have free shipping and returns on their website, but they sell them just about everywhere at this point, so I recommend trying them on in person if you’re able!

Wool Runner Fluffs by allbirds - $98

I have had these in my cart for A WHILE, and with the cooler weather (hopefully??) approaching, I think I’m finally about to pull the trigger. They’re so fun! I don’t own any allbirds, but my husband has a few pairs, and he really likes them. Reading the reviews, they’re great for people who are post-surgery/injury. And they’re machine washable! I just washed his up last weekend, and they look brand new! They’re sustainably created, and they also kind of look like Teddy, so why not?

Ibiza Platform Sneaker by Soludos - $139

Ali insists she needs a platform sneaker for this trip, and I told her that sounds wildly uncomfortable. But I’m 5’ 9” and don’t need anything in a platform, so what do I know? I stumbled upon these tan suede sneakers, and they’re simple but so cute! They also come in a mauve pink suede, and I think those could totally work as a neutral! All of the reviews rave about how comfortable they feel and how there’s virtually no break-in time, which makes them an ideal last minute purchase before traveling internationally, I’d say! They look super cute and casual with jeans, and I bet they’d work with your athleisure, too, which is preeeeetty much all I wear this point outside of work.

Advantage Sneaker by Adidas - $49.97

I have 2 pairs of these, and they’re so easy. My tried and true! I don’t know if I’ve ever repurchased the exact same shoe again before these. The sole feels like a cloud. I walked 10+ miles a day in these in Europe, and I didn’t feel nearly as bad as I should have. They go with just about everything: dresses, jeans, shorts, athleisure, all of my horrible quarantine outfits…Also, the pop of gold in the back (that isn’t the most visible in this pic, sorry!) is just the right amount of flash. They clean up easily with a magic eraser. And at $50, they’re a steal. If you’re looking for a basic white sneaker, this is it!

Suede 327 Sneakers by New Balance - $90

I have not owned a pair of New Balances since high school, but I feel like they’re making a comeback because I’m starting to see them pop up on all my fave shopping sites. I really love the color combo here. The black with the cream and the tan, and then the pink? Something just feels so right about these. Also, it’s basically a monogrammed shoe if your name starts with an “N” and you know how southerners feel about monogramming things…

B2School Platform Sneaker by Jeffrey Campbell - $119.95

I’m going to lose some of you with this one, and that’s fine. But omg these would be so fun for fall. It’s like a sneaker with a chunky sole like you’d typically find on a boot. Obsessed. I’m going to let this dream die because I’d prob break my ankle again, but one of you should get these and rub it in my face because omg. If you threw these on with a dress and tights, it would be darling. Or with a cute sweater and some cuffed jeans or something? Could you imagine? Big heart eyes!

Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage by Nike - $100

Justin bought me these as a surprise because I was trying to track down a cute pair of high tops to cover up my surgical scars. Unfortunately, one of my scars goes waaaay on up there, so there’s really no covering it up. But I love these shoes! They have such a classically cool retro vibe. I haven’t worn them much because they’re a little snug on my ankle, and anytime something touches it, it gets very cranky! But I’ve worn them with leggings, jean shorts, and even a fitted polka dot dress with giant puffy sleeves. I pop them on with a pair of crew socks if I want them to have an extra vintage vibe. And Justin just got the low top version with the blue check, so we can twin and be losers if we want to (AWWW!).

If you snag any of these, tell me so I can know who I’m being a bad influence on 😜

Happy shopping!
