Celebrating Christmas in July with Basic Invite!

🎶 It’s the mooost wonderful tiiime of the year 🎶

Actually, I kind of hate summer. But you know what I don’t hate? CHRISTMAS. I know, I know — who can even think about the holidays right now? But ho ho hold your horses! Don’t run away screaming yet!

I’m here with my friends at Basic Invite to tell you why you should order custom holiday cards right now on their amazing Christmas in July promo (I even have a discount code for you!)!

Let’s fast-forward mentally to a better time of year and give ourselves something to look forward to for once, shall we?

Just look at this darling template!

Now, give me 5 minutes, and I’ll convince you of all the reasons you should get a jump start on this holiday season faster than you can say “Grandma got run over by a reindeer!” in your worst southern accent.

NO RUSHING AROUND

This is the main reason people don’t send holiday cards. You don’t even think about sending them until after Thanksgiving. Then you’re scrambling to find a photographer. Then you’re rushing to get them printed which makes them cost significantly more only to be able to mail them out at the very last minute. It’s too much! Why not just do it now? This way, you can take your time to design it, order a sample to make sure it’s just right, and then have them printed with plenty of time to send them out EARLY so you can have your cute face on peoples’ refrigerators all season long!

YOU’LL BE GLOWING

I think we’ve all been spending more time outside (anything to get out of the house, right?) and since tan, glowing skin is associated with health, you can be bronzed and beautiful for your holiday photo op! And speaking of things that are looking healthy…

YOUR NATURAL SURROUNDINGS ARE LUSH AND GREEN

Unless you live in the Great White North or on a Christmas tree farm, chances are everything around you looks dead and sad in the winter time. But they don’t now! There are plenty of options for beautiful backdrops — no photoshop necessary!

YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER FRIEND IS PROBABLY AVAILABLE

Living in a large artistic community, I’m very familiar with the ways this pandemic has affected my friends with creative careers. This would be a great way to give them some income without having to schedule around a bunch of other people. There are ways to safely take photos: a porch session, an open field, a botanical garden. Get creative!

IT’S A GOOD EXCUSE TO GET DRESSED UP

It’s amazing what putting on a little makeup, fixing my hair, and getting dressed can do for my mood! How fun to get dressed up with the ones you love (even if it’s your dog!) and take some cute photos! Also, is it just me, or is it always way too cold to wear the outfit you really wanna wear in December? But hey, guess what? If you want to, you can do it again in December!

IT’S EASIER TO BUDGET THEM IN NOW

Budgeting in holiday cards when you’re trying to finance presents, travel, and your favorite blogger’s birthday gift *HINT HINT* can be a lot. But there are less financial commitments in the summer, specially since your vacation’s probably been postponed (sorry for bringing that up). Also, who knows what the world will be like in 5 months. That black hole everyone keeps talking about? It could swallow us up whole! And what if the only people who get to send out cards are the ones who ordered them before we entered into another dimension? You don’t wanna be left out, do you?!

Okay, so now that I’ve sold you on it, let me tell you about Basic Invite

I’ve been really nerding out on this site, and it is RAD.

IT’S FOOLPROOF

You can order a printed (!!!!) sample of your design personalized with your photo and details on it to see if you want to make any changes before placing your order. $7.95 is a small price to pay to realize you somehow misspelled your last name or accidentally cropped out your dog’s face. Perfectionists rejoice!

THE TEMPLATES ARE HIGHLY CUSTOMIZABLE

And they’re cute cute cute! Basic Invite’s incredibly user-friendly website makes it really easy to create something special. All you have to do is get a good pic! We did this ourselves with a tripod and a self-timer. Find a template you like and start customizing! You can change the font, font size, color, placement. They even have beautiful foil options in silver, gold and rose gold #drool And it doesn’t stop there! You can pick from over 40 color options of peel and seal envelopes. It’s like they took the most annoying parts out of this process and made them infinitely better. Hold your hats for this next part —

they do the hardest part for you

Basic Invite offers an address capturing service that allows customers to share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or any other social media platform to request their friends and family’s addresses. The addresses are then stored in the customer’s account and can be selected during the design process 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 Basic Invite also offers recipient address printing at no cost on all card orders.

Someone’s gotta keep the postal service in business! Might as well be you, right? And right now, Basic Invite is offering 15% off with coupon code: 15FF51

And bonus! Given we’re allowed to get within 6 feet of each other, they also have Christmas party invitations!

So what are you waiting for? Put on your favorite holiday song, get in the spirit, and let’s do this thing!

Thank you so much to Basic Invite for working with me on this post! I really hope you check them out for all your holiday card and other stationery needs!
